I would value your opinions...seriously....Ok, I have been in this rented apt for 5 years now, and the white walls need painting. The management company stated they would paint it for me---white only--if I would move all the furniture to the middle of the room, take down the curtains and pictures off the walls. They will NOT paint it a color. Here is my dilemma.
I will be working from home starting in 09 and I would like my DC apt to look nice, since I will be sitting there all the time. I was thinking of going on Craig's List to get a reputable painter to paint my living room/dining and bedroom....Kitchen and bathroom I let the mgt company do already.
My question is...Do you think it is silly to pay your own money to paint a rented apartment, or am I being a fool. Please do NOT tell me to paint it myself because you do not want to go there. I am a total klutz. And is Craigs List a good place to get a relatively cheap but seasoned apt painter. What should I look for?<< less
