When I look and see how many elementary mistakes m... more >> When I look and see how many elementary mistakes made by police officers, and the level of training the average officer is receiving I get a little concerned. They have the highest degree of latitude within the criminal justice system, but have the lowest education requirements. Many states now require a 2 year degree and a few larger cities are now requiring a 4 year degree. Do you think that all law enforcement officer should have a 4 year degree? What courses do you think should be an absolute necessity to their degree? << less

First of all, thanks to everyone for the good wish... more >> First of all, thanks to everyone for the good wishes, prayers and advice you have sent to me, since I first wrote about this last week. Please forgive me for not responding to each of you privately; this just seemed like the best way to update everyone at once. So no "answers" are needed, unless you just want to write there. :) I have spent the last two days being tested extensively, including an MRI of the head, and all kinds of ear/hearing tests. There is good news: no tumor or lesions in my head, and Meneire's Disease has been ruled out. I was unaware that Meniere's Disease, which affects the balance and vestibular part of the hearing process, could be present without the dizziness and vertigo that commonly show up, but it can. So, after ruling out everything else, the ear specialist feels that my acute hearing loss is from a virus, and we are treating for that. CONTINUED in the discussion board... << less

I had a crush on him for years but didn't make any moves because he was dating my sister's friend and i suppressed them.. I recently found out that he was single.. Then, before i could tell him anything, he starting dating a girl from his school.. I.. Everytime he talks about her, i feel sick.. I feel jealous and feel like hitting something for my stupidity.. I recently told him that i had had a crush on him in the past and he said that he had ignored it because he didn't have a crush back.. And says he still doesn't.. However, it's confusing because he constantly flirts with me and i'll catch him staring at me and stuff.. I don't know what to do anymore! Please help!!! << less
